AR Modular RF’s Model KMW1031 Booster Amplifier
Tested by US Army Fort Bragg and Performed Flawlessly

Bothel, WA - 6/15/06 - AR Modular RF’s model KMW1031 booster amplifier was recently field tested by the US Army Fort Bragg and performed flawlessly. The amplifier was tested in a wide range of terrestrial and satellite system configurations. Modulation formats included SINCGARS, HPW and HAVEQUICK plus 12kbps and 16kbps data and 16kbps UHF SATCOM (Non-Dama) voice link. It was compatibility tested with various Thales, Harris and Raytheon transceivers, and commercial Motorola repeaters.

The US Army said, “There are many companies who make claims of the autosense – but this is the only product we have used that will do it.”

The KMW1031 is a 20 watt, portable, lightweight, waterproof, fully automatic band- switching RF booster amplifier covering 30 – 512 MHz and uses filters to assure acceptable harmonic distortion levels. It includes voltage spike suppression, RF sensing, T/R switching, automatic level control, automatically switched harmonic filters, and protection against antenna mismatch and over-temperature. The unit can be operated from two BA5590 batteries or vehicle power.

The KMW1031 is part of a complete family of booster amplifiers designed for man-pack or vehicle-mount use. Based on one common, battle-tested platform, the KMW1030 family of multi-band booster amplifiers includes automatic and manual band-switch models with frequency ranges from 30 – 512 MHz and the ability to boost output signals from 5 watts up to 20 or 40 watts. Another SINCGARS-only, manpack, 20 watt model is available for the 30 – 88 MHz.
