AR Modular RF, designer and manufacturer of RF Amplifiers is seeking an RF Test Technician with significant experience in testing medium to high power RF amplifiers from 100KHz to 6 GHz. The Test Technician is responsible for performing tests, troubleshooting and repairing problems on RF Amplifiers, as well as maintaining appropriate test documentation. The Technician also performs basic wire and power supply checking.
Some essential duties include: Assist Engineering on new product development, Perform basic alignments on subassemblies and completed equipment; Test products for conformance to specifications using necessary test equipment; Perform pretests and programing on subassemblies as required; Troubleshoot and make repairs as required; and ensure assembly and test meets customer requirements.
The candidate should possess an Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and three years experience or demonstrated high degree of ability to successfully perform all duties of this position; RF experience is strongly preferred.
Successful candidate should understand VSWR, power measurements including PEP, and be conversant regarding dBM and Watts measurements. Must have basic computer skills. They should have the ability to use RF laboratory equipment to include signal generators, network analyzers, power measurement devices, pulse generators, and digital oscilloscopes.
