AR Modular RF, designer and manufacturer of RF Amplifiers is seeking an RF Test Technician with significant experience in a testing medium to high power RF amplifiers from 100KHz to 6 GHz. The Test Technician is responsible for performing tests, troubleshooting and repairing problems on RF Amplifiers, as well as maintaining appropriate test documentation. The Technician also performs basic wire and power supply checking. Some essential duties include: Assist Engineering on new product development, Perform basic alignments on subassemblies and completed equipment; Test products for conformance to specifications using necessary test equipment; Perform pretests and programing on subassemblies as required; Troubleshoot and make repairs as required, and ensure assembly and test meets customer requirements.

The candidate should possess an Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and three years experience or demonstrated a high degree of ability to successfully perform all duties of this position; RF experience is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate should understand VSWR, power measurements including PEP, and be conversant regarding dBM and Watts measurements. Must have basic computer skills. They should have the ability to use RF laboratory equipment to include signal generators, network analyzers, power measurement devices, pulse generators, and digital oscilloscopes.

AR Modular RF, designer, and manufacturer of RF Amplifiers serving military, commercial, medical and industrial markets, is seeking an Engineer A Development to join a small, but diverse, Engineering team to lead analog/mixed-signal design and development of new and existing products serving a high niche, low volume, custom markets.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing circuits and firmware for new product development, support redesign, and root-cause efforts on existing products.  They will bridge the gap between the RF/analog and digital/firmware worlds, responsible for the design of mixed-signal subsystems by setting requirements, selecting components, performing simulation, schematic capture, design review, PCB layout, and defining test requirements. They may also function as a technical mentor to junior engineers. 

The Engineer A Development should have expertise in both analog circuit design and firmware development and experience with digital logic circuitry, microcontrollers, and FPGAs, and power supply design.  Design experience with RF systems and devices is a big plus. Knowledge of change order process, reviews, and execution are required.  The successful candidate will develop technical reports and documentation for specific task outcomes and assist in data-driven decisions.  The Engineer A Development will be expected to conduct design experiments and tests to evaluate components and subsystems.  Proven ability in analyzing root cause, complex design debugging, and problem-solving independently with minimal guidance is highly desired.

Hardware tools and abilities include: SPICE simulation, analog/mixed-signal and power circuit design, PADS (schematic capture and PCB layout). 

Experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, function generators, and soldering and rework skills is required. 

Software tools and skills include: git (revision control), C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, and communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and LVDS.  Experience with Libero SoC Design Suite is a huge plus.

The ideal candidate should possess (at minimum) a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 plus years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
