Defense Department Contractor Orders Custom Amplifier Module From AR Modular RF

Bothell, WA — June 18, 2013 —AR Modular RF, a world-class manufacturer and solution provider of RF amplifiers, systems, and modules, has been awarded a high volume order for a new custom amplifier module, the AR-50S.

The AR-50S is a 50W, 30- 88 MHz, SINCGARS-only version of AR’s popular Multiband AR-50 tactical booster amplifier. This new module will be used with legacy 5W SINCGARS radio transceivers. The amplifier boosts the SINCGARS signals to over 50W. Designed for vehicle use, the amplifier system includes a built-in DC-DC converter, which enables it to be operated from either 12 or 24V DC vehicle supplies. This new application will use two of the booster amps mounted on a “T” bracket to support multiple radios in a single-vehicle.
